There are a lot of different programs out there, and many marriage counselors.
What are some reasons you would choose one over the other to help you solve the problems in your marriage?
Really, what you want is someone who is qualified and committed to helping you save your marriage. Some of you may have budget constraints and would opt for self-help programs, while others of you are in a better financial position to commit to fixing your marriage problems in person and marriage counseling or marriage retreats are more viable options as ways to save your marriage.
Why I am Committed To Helping Marriages
Want to know why I am so committed to helping couples like you, with problems in your marriage?
I am in my second marriage. My first marriage lasted about five years. We had a painful divorce. It was primarily because of my own immaturity and ignorance about what makes a good marriage. I was already learning in graduate school about marriages. Learning is different than helping others, and even more different than helping myself. Of course, I still had a lot to learn before I finished graduate school.
If I knew then what I know now, I would have been able to prevent divorce.
Almost four years after my divorce, I met my current wife and we have been married for well over 30 years.
Healthy Marriages and Healthy Marriage Solutions
With each passing year I learn more about healthy marriages and marriage solutions.
This leads me to be more committed to the concept of marriage and to helping others learn and apply what I have learned. I apply my professional learning and principles in my personal life as much as possible. I believe that makes me more effective because I personally know the difficulties, pitfalls and advantages of the guidance I provide.
I know healthy marriages, and I can help you solve problems in your marriage. I’ve helped many couples prevent divorce and have a better, happier marriage. I can probably help your marriage too.
